Watu Ulo Beach

Watu Ulo Beach is situated ± 45 km from the town of Jember, Java East Indonesia. South Indian town of Jember in Indonesia cluster, a beautiful natural panorama. To get to tour Watu Ulo Beach can be reached by various kinds of vehicles.





  Called Watu Ulo beach because it is a long stone serpent-shaped, with the full scales. According to folklore it is said that in former times when there is a snake who was imprisoned at the beach. Having granted his petition to the Almighty, then he becomes a rock berwujudlah exactly a snake with its head stuck out to sea, while his body was in the mainland.
In the days of Japanese occupation, the mountains around Watu Ulo Beach tourist used as reinforcements defenses and reconnaissance enemy soldiers who want to infiltrate the mainland via the beach. Fortress Japan, amounting to five pieces are by local people called the Cave of Japan and is one of the tourist sites of interest to visit.


    
Watu Ulo tourist attraction can be reached by using all types of vehicles (two and four wheels) due to the location of asphalt.Besides Japan Cave, on the Watu Ulo is a Lowo Cave (Bat Cave), which occupied hundreds of thousands of bats. This cave can be entered by visitors to the down and past the sandy beach. Because the place is quiet from the crowds, this cave is often used as a place of meditation for some people, especially considering this cave has a depth of 100 m.
